TANDBERG to Acquire Codian
TANDBERG has announced the acquisition of Codian, an award-winning developer of high-definition videoconferencing infrastructure products. Codian's state-of-the-art infrastructure products will provide TANDBERG with a robust platform for large scale deployments of high-definition videoconferencing systems. The joint solution will greatly improve video quality and ease-of-use for multi-party conferences.
We believe this will be an exciting opportunity for our channel partners, providing access to a wider array of best-in-class technologies:
Enhances TANDBERG's leadership position in broader IP communications market
Improves TANDBERG total solution and expands infrastructure portfolio
TANDBERG will continue to develop and support the Codian and TANDBERG product lines, including both the Codian MCU platforms and the TANDBERG MPS line of MCUs
As part of the announcement, there will be no changes to pricing or availability of either TANDBERG or Codian products. Codian's product line will be available on the TANDBERG price list following close of the acquisition (expected in Q3 2007).
